In all of our wrongful death cases, Attorney Schreiber takes an inordinate amount of time to get to know who that person who died was, what that person meant to the family (both financially and emotionally), what that person’s job was and what future prospects the person may have had, and what the person’s hobbies and other community activities were. As the families legal representatives, we try to get as full of a picture as possible of the person’s life because we have to persuasively present evidence as to the value of that life and what it meant to the living individuals left behind. The process is extremely emotional and difficult for the family, but we understand and try to make it a part of the healing process and not an additional burden.
